Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit of competency describes the outcome required to load, unload, transport and store pulped product.The unit applies to production support operators who work in a pulp or paper manufacturing facility.No licensing, legislative, regulatory, or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. | ||
Duration and Setting | X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting. The following resources must be made available: load shifting equipment which can be: fork lifts 'follow me' trolleys loaders skid steer loaders dozers cranes truck-mounted loading cranes gantry cranes communication equipment used to signal operation of transfer equipment personal protective equipment suitable for distributing and storing pulped product commercial raw materials and pulped product for transfer which can be: bleached or unbleached pulp fluff pulp crumbed pulp baled, rolled or sheet pulp slushed pulp template documents for recording inventory, transfer process, product and equipment faults organisational workplace health and safety and standard operating procedures for distributing and storing pulped product relevant personnel for the purposes of communicating information Competency is to be assessed in the workplace or in a productive environment that accurately reflects performance in a workplace. Assessor requirements Assessors must: hold the appropriate assessor competency standards as outlined in regulations; and be able to demonstrate vocational competencies at least to the level being assessed; and Be able to demonstrate how they are continuing to develop their VET knowledge and skills as well as maintaining their industry currency and assessor competence. |
